Lisa Nichols – This week in Salt Lake City!

So how cool is it that I get to be a speaker at the same women’s conference that Lisa Nichols is going to be featured as the keynote speaker !!! As one of the featured teachers of The Secret, Lisa has had an impact on thousands (millions?) of lives by empowering them to live more abundantly. To me the essense of Lisa Nichols is her passion, energy, & drive. I am very excited that she is coming to Salt Lake City this week to share with us her gifts, her passion, & knowledge on how to achieve holistic success as a business leader

Freedom FastTrack -Soul Purpose & Financial Foundation

This is probably the BEST THING I DID IN 2009. Find out more by reading this article. It might change your life!! The program, called Freedom FastTrack (A company owned by Garrett Gunderson) has all the right elements. It’s a practical system that combines tools, mentoring, & accountability with the proper education. Their foundational philosophy is based on the concept of Soul Purpose, a term describing an individual’s unique set of talents, strengths, passions, interests, attitudes & values.

Leaving Your Comfort Zone – Book Review

Recently, I finished Rene Johnson’s book “Leaving Your Comfort Zone” subtitled “How to lead your life from the Power Zone!”. Rene is a good friend and fellow coach and I appreciate her desire to empower women to be more of who they already are. We have a lot in common….The first chapter in her book is entitled “Design Your Vision of Success”. Rene is another gal I decided to do an exchange of services with. She has a coaching program called “Fast Track – Your Way to Success” that includes taking one of the principles from her book and focusing on it during a couple of coaching sessions. I am having Rene help me power-up a keynote that I am giving in January. She’s helping me fine-tune content as well as give me pointers on presentation. As an experienced and powerful speaker, she knows what she’s talking

Ropes Course

A Ropes Course is typically an all-day activity that teaches skills through experiences. The basic goal of the course is to increase the participant’s level of self-confidence as they explore risk, leadership, communication, problem solving & coaching. As a person deals with the success, failures, & disappointments…..self-esteem and personal growth begin to develop.

The second primary goal is to help the participants learn to function meaningfully and productively as a team. Speed and individual excellence is not the goal.

Raw Food – A new adventure!

I experimented with something quite fun today – I hired a raw foodist (is that a word? a raw foodie? a raw nutritionist?) to spend the afternoon with me cooking up (uhh, it’s just a “term”) all sorts of interesting concoctions. Linda Gregersen, a new friend that I met at Biz Divas several months ago is an EXPERT at making this on-the-edge lifestyle seem really easy. In a matter of 2 hours we came up with all sorts of yummy things.Linda understands that this is something most people have to “ease into”. Going from a typical western diet to completely RAW without some sort of transition would be a little insane if you ask me.

Body Language Workshop

You’ve probably heard the statistics but couldn’t quite believe it: only 7% of communication is Words, 36% is Tone and 57% of Communication is Gestures! Brings to mind that quote by Emerson” Who you are speaks so loudly, I can’t hear what you’re saying.” Most of our body language is communicated on a subconscious level. Yet it has an extensive influence to the quality of our message. From this we can wisely conclude that it is a good idea to become conscious of our own body language as well as others.

StevePavlina.com – A Great Personal Development Blog

Today I’m going to shout the praises of a personal development blog that has made a huge impact on my life over the last few years. Steve Pavlina’s blog is subtitled “Personal Development for Smart People”.I was amazed at the depth of his writing and the new ideas he had on even “old” topics. After reading several blog posts that I just couldn’t get out of my mind (that ultimately compelled me to action), I decided to make reading Steve Pavlina’s blog post a part of my daily Power Hour for personal growth.
