Failing Forward – John Maxwell – Book Review

The premise of the book is based on the age-old questions all entrepreneurs have found ourselves wondering…..Are some people born to achieve anything they want, while others struggle? Are they just lucky, blessed, or possessed with the Midas touch? What is the REAL reason for their success?

John Maxwell has the answer: The difference between the average person and one that achieves success is their perception of and response to failure.

Amazing Events in February

I think from now on I’m going to post monthly about the very cool events that I am aware of. (And with that said, I’m sure there will be some that I miss that we can add as “comments”.) Even though we are past “mid-month”, there are several workshop/seminar/events that I would like to bring to your attention. The following events are by produced and facilitated by people that I love and admire. They are women that are making a difference in the lives of many people. Please send a few minutes going over the information below. I have no doubt that one or more will impact your life greatly!

Small Miracles

Today I wanted to focus on Small Miracles that transform out lives. I’ve learned from years and years of experience that despite how monumental a Big Goal accomplishment seems, it’s really the “little things”, one on top of another, that bring the biggest shifts and contribute the most to living my Ideal Life.

18 days later….How are those New Years Resolutions going?

2010 is going to be  an amazing year. Not only have I clarified everything I want in each area of my life for this new year, but I also have action plans, support, structure, & enough motivation wrapped around each of my individual goals.  Because I’m in my 21st year of using a LifeVision, I [...]

Boss of Myself by guest blogger-Wendy Benson

“The greatest thing in the world is not so much where we stand, but in which direction we are going”. As I pondered this statement, I wondered…what direction am I going? Am I stepping towards my goals every day through my thoughts, feelings, and actions? How did I ever get to that dark and dreary point 3 years ago? Then it dawned on me…it happened just one step at a time! It doesn’t happen overnight.

Ropes Course

A Ropes Course is typically an all-day activity that teaches skills through experiences. The basic goal of the course is to increase the participant’s level of self-confidence as they explore risk, leadership, communication, problem solving & coaching. As a person deals with the success, failures, & disappointments…..self-esteem and personal growth begin to develop.

The second primary goal is to help the participants learn to function meaningfully and productively as a team. Speed and individual excellence is not the goal.

My Guest Appearance on Producer Power Hour with Garrett Gunderson

Garrett & I became acquainted earlier this year when I became a client of Freedom Fast Track, a company that he owns. In addition, several of his team members became clients of mine and attended my Ideal LifeVision workshop. This brought me into his office frequently where eventually we became friends as we discovered we have a lot in common. My husband has also been behind the production of many of the events that Garrett speaks at and it’s always a pleasure to run into him across the country as he’s presenting his fabulous keynotes.

Clear Intention

The first obvious requirement to having what you want is knowing what you want. Most people can give you a detailed list of what they don’t want, but how many people can actually articulate in minute detail the things they desire in all areas of their life? Very few! But taking the time to get in touch with our greatest desires is well worth the effort.
