LifeVision for Teens – Lisa Crookston
One of the questions I get asked most frequently is “Is LifeVision just for adults?” And the answers is absolutely not! It’s for anyone that needs some clarity and focus in their life. (Were you thinking of your teenager when you just read that? I know MY TEENAGERS need a lot more clarity and focus).
Can you imagine what your life would be like now if you have started with a LifeVision at the age of 16 and continued using it for decades? Imagine the things that could be accomplished with a revolutionary tool that helps you identify what you want in all areas of your life and then helps you focus on it, complete with your WHY and Action Plan.
(Let me wander off on a brief tangent here for a second. A LifeVision is an ever-evolving document. It only focuses on one or two years into the future. I know from reading/hearing “LifeVision”, many take that to mean that it’s a plan for your entire life for 10-50 years down the road. It’s not. It’s about all areas of your life in the near future. I know from experience that it’s quite futile to plan your life for the next 20 years because “Life Happens” and it’s hard to know where we’ll be, who we’ll be with, and even what we want. Just as our lives evolve, so does our LifeVision.)
So back to topic…..A LifeVisionfor teens. Yes, I have 5 children of my own and 3 of them created their own LifeVision starting about their junior year in high school. No doubt the Life Sections are different….Instead of Financial/Professional they focus on getting an education and managing the money they make at their part time job. Social life & “parents/siblings” replace “spouse/children”. But other than that, the difference in mininmal. Teenagers who use Lifevision write about what their Ideal Life looks like inside their home life, their spirituality, their physical health & appearance, their social life, developing their talents musically, athletically, their grades, job, education etc.
Years ago, I met with a group of homeschool teens and spent the day helping them create their written and recorded LifeVision. Now, most of them are married and they still talk to me about some of the amazing things that happened as a result. (Scholarships, study abroad, more confidence, etc)
Listen in as Lisa talks about her recent experience with Ideal LifeVision.
