LifeVision to fruition with an iphone app!

Today I want to write about my favorite app on my iphone….2Do.  I guess a little background may be in order so that you can fully appreciate why I love this app so much. First, I’m all over technology and I’m a “get-it-done” kinda girl.  No…I’m not so bad that I actually add something to my list (that I already did) just so I can  check it off, BUT I do like to see that I’ve accomplished something despite the many distractions that are part of being a mompreneur.

2Do is what they technically call a “Task Manager” but simply put it’s just a very cool To Do List with tons of cool features.  Adding, editing or removing tasks is a breeze with 2Do, even if you have quite a lot of them.  There is a very handy set of options available as part of the Action menu:  Calls, emails, Texts or google searches.

Another thing I really like is that I can create separate lists.  The Calendars/Lists (see above)  I currently have are:  Coaching, Tele-Workshops, home, personal, family activities, church responsibilities.  They are all color coded by list or “calendar”.  If I don’t get something done, it shows up the next day in “red”.  I can prioritize them and also determine if it’s just a single item or a checklist of things or even a project.  I use this program more than to just manage things like “go to the dry cleaner”, call John about printing” etc.  One of the main ways I use it is by taking things from my LifeVision, chunking them down and then adding them into this program so that my dreams literally become a reality.

Sample:

Power Hour: (repeated daily and set up as a “checklist”)

  • Read scripture
  • Listen to motivational talk
  • Write in journal
  • Pray
  • Meditate
  • Read chapter from The Success Principles

Workshop (set up as “project – see right)

  • Create content (add a due date and a repeat of M-W-F)
  • Set up conference line
  • Create sales page (this turned into several other action items as time went on)
  • Add to shopping cart
  • Add to website
  • Handouts for each class
  • Video testimonials
  • make calls
  • add to sales page

There are some AMAZING features worth mentioning:

  • Alarm: Set up to 3 alarms for a single task so you don’t forget those important items
  • Note: Create a note so that you can remember any specific details about this action item.
  • Voice memo: if you’d rather leave a voice memo instead of a written note, have it your way!
  • Share: Delegate it out to your assistant or someone else to lighten your load!
  • Repeat: Have it show up on your list tomorrow, next week or next month automatically.

Hopefully you get the idea.  But I have taken many of my BIG DREAMS to fruition first by creating the visualization within my LifeVision and then by creating a practical, down to the brass tacks to-do list.

If you have an iphone and would like to master your To Do List, consider this app.
