You Will Always Find What You Are Looking For

Some say the world is filled with nothing but evil people and influences, they say life is hard, misery prevails and nothing but dark times are ahead, and sure enough it’s true. All you have to do is look for it. People are stealing cars, robbing banks; war most definitely exists with bloody battlegrounds, car bombs explode causing devastation, conflict in city halls and shootings in neighborhoods abound.

You don’t even have to go far to find it, pick up any newspaper or find it in an easy internet search, simply turn on your television or pull up the news right in the palm of your hand. Right there at your fingertips 24 hours a day 7 days a week, day or night even holidays. People everywhere are preaching all things sad, bad or evil, they will vividly provide for you blazing images and testimonials as affirmation to everything you are looking for.  And if that does not confirm your believe that life is hopelessly miserable then look for someone to agree with your findings, they are not hard to find either.

Life is hard and then you die. But wait that sounds awful…can it really be true that life is hopeless, miserable and depressing. The answer is YES it is absolutely true…. that is, if that is what you are looking for.

So, what if I am looking for something else? What if I chose to look for and find good and inspiring things in the world, people who were making a difference, people uplifting and motivating others in their communities and even the world. Would I find that too? What if I looked for people helping others, going the extra mile or smiling just because it is joy and gratitude that emanates from them? What if I looked for people doing good work with good intentions and were achieving success in abundance. Would I find love, joy compassion and tolerance in the world if I looked for it?

So which is it? Is the world just a sphere of gloom, doom and hostility or an abundance of good cheer, love and joy? The answer is yes to both. Sounds confusing doesn’t it. Well really it is not confusing at all, it is simple and all comes down to this: You will always find what you are looking for.

Wayne Dyer teaches…...”Loving people live in a loving world. Hostile people live in a hostile world. Same world.”

People looking for all things sad, bad and evil will find it.

People looking for all things joyous, good and inspiring will find it.

Those who choose to find a world filled with all things good and positive will find it everywhere…yes everywhere.  We can choose to look for people and books and music that will uplift or inspire or activate growth. All of these things are easily found and waiting not just for some of us but for all of us. And the good news is that those things aren’t lurking in dark alleyways or cleverly trying to hide from us. They are here there and everywhere, it’s just that we may not notice them . Positive and good surround us more than we know. And the news just keeps getting better, when we find those things, we feel good and happy!

Think about this for a moment, say you are in a meeting or conference of hundreds maybe even thousands of people. You look around and sure enough you see walls and people and screens and notebooks. Now what if I said, I want you to now notice all of the “white “in the room. Suddenly it is… everywhere! People are wearing it, walls are painted with it, notes are jotted on white paper, and presentations are projected on it. It was there all along you just didn’t notice it or place your attention on it. It would have been there whether you noticed it or not.

We choose our world; if we choose to look for good and bring our attention to it we will find it. It is there. It is always there, whether we choose to find it or not. Ask yourself  this question;  What kind of world do I live in?

I am not suggesting that we view the world only through rose-colored glasses and see only “La La Land.” There are things that happen that are sad and evil and destructive. Contribute when and where you can, with your efforts, time and money to help improve those things happening. Your contributions can add to the solution and resolution of some of the injustices of the world. Do all you can to serve. Be an example, inspire other’s, contribute to the successes of humanity not add to the suffering. Sometimes all we can do is add to the prayers and concern of a global community attracting peace and wellness to those who need it most.

Surround yourself with people that are moving, growing and developing. Pay attention to those things you want to attract in your life, find good books and good music. Look for it, watch for it, pay attention to it, search for it. Become aware of all of the wonder and all of the good and all of the inspiring things easily found… if you look for it. And when you find all of those waiting in abundance for you say…”ahhhh there you are, I found you”. Observe how changing your view of the world changes everything in your world.

In your quiet moments be grateful for all of the good and wonderful opportunities this life has to offer. The abundance of inspiration and goodness is everywhere you look. You are a thought away from changing your life and your world. All you have to do is look for it … you will find it.
