You are in charge of your own happiness. You may not always like it that way, and sometimes you may wish it weren’t so. Maybe there are times when you want someone else or something else to just make you happy without any effort on your part at all. After all wouldn’t it be nice to just sit back and relax and let someone else just serve you up a whole lotta happy? But like it or not…happiness is a decision and its yours to make. In the darkest times of life we wish there was someone that would ride in on a white horse and come to our aid and slay the dragons of worry, fear and doubt, the demons of sadness, hopelessness and pain to make everything all better again. Sometimes you just have to be your own hero.
We are all creatures of habit, the repeated actions that make up our daily lives. Our habits, the good and the bad make up who we are. Some habits are molded from our earliest associations and environment and others we pick up along life’s journey on our own. The good habits of course are worth keeping, but we all have a habit or two that would be best left by the way side, these habits are most often brought to our attention by an annoyed companion or an irritated co-worker.
